Who Am i?
Hi there, I'm Lauren, and I have always had a deep love for dogs and a passion for dog training.
Over the years, my family and I have raised a total of 8 guide dogs and during this time, I completed a Certificate III in Companion Animal Studies, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Level 1 and Level 2 Therapy Dog Training with Lead The Way Institute and Dog Training The Delta Way Seminar.
I have also participated in the International Dog Behaviour Conference for 2023, attended dog training seminars through the National Dog Trainers Federation (NDTF) and with The Glasgow Dog Trainer. I am currently completing Certificate IV in Animal Behaviour and Training through The Delta Institute. I have worked at a Vet Clinic, a pet store and a doggy daycare running dog training programs and completed a Bachelor of Education (Science) at Deakin University.
I believe that with patience, positive reinforcement, and a deep understanding of dogs and their behaviour, anyone can train their furry companion to be a happy, well-behaved, and loving member of their family.

About Ocean Edge Dog Training
Ocean Edge Dog Training was founded in 2020 during the pandemic when group dog training classes were no longer an option for owners seeking to train and socialize their dogs.
Recognising the need for private dog training consultations, I began teaching new puppy owners how to raise a confident puppy in such an unpredictable and scary time. As the lockdowns lifted, I expanded my services to include older dogs, many of whom were struggling with the sudden change in their environments.
Since then, Ocean Edge Dog Training has expanded to serve the wider Geelong and Surf Coast community, offering accessible, relationship-centered, and force-free dog training.
