  • What is the age range for puppies in your Puppy School?

    • At Ocean Edge Dog Training, we welcome puppies from 8 weeks to 16 weeks of age to our Puppy School, ensuring they start their training at the optimal time for learning and socialisation.

  • Are there any prerequisites for enrolling my puppy in Puppy School?

    • Prior to joining our Puppy School, we ask that your puppy has received their 1st vaccination. This is to ensure the health and safety of all our furry students. Please bring any relevant vaccination records to your first session.

  • Essentials to Bring to Puppy School

    • Your puppy's preferred chew toy: This helps in keeping them engaged and comfortable.
    • A simple flat collar and leash: For safety and control during training (Harnesses are welcome, but please avoid choker chains, slip leads, or extendable leashes).
    • Your puppy's mat or a small bed: To give them a familiar space to settle on.
    • A variety of high-value treats: Such as chopped Prime 100 roll, shredded roast chicken, or air-dried meat-based treats. These are invaluable for positive reinforcement training techniques.

  • What to Expect from our Program

    • Week 1: A comprehensive 90-minute informational session about puppy behavior and training principles to set you and your puppy up for success.
    • Weeks 2-6: Engaging 45-minute sessions focusing on practical training skills and socialization with other puppies, laying the foundation for a well-behaved and sociable dog.

  • How much does the 6-week Puppy School program cost?

    •  Our comprehensive 6-week Puppy School program is $220, designed to provide you and your puppy with the foundational skills for a lifetime of companionship and mutual understanding.
